August C. Sims, Attorney at Law, received his B.A. from Park University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1979. He received his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1984. Attorney Sims was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1984, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio in 1987. He is a member in good standing of the Ohio State Bar Association (Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Section).
After discharge from the U.S. Air Force, Attorney Sims joined the Columbus Ohio Division of Police and served as a commissioned officer for 27 years. His last 7 years were served as the supervisor in the police legal bureau. During his tenure with the Columbus Division of Police August frequently lectured on legal issues at the Columbus Police Training Academy, and was an instructor for the Central Ohio Police Officers Training Academy, and the Columbus State Community College.
August is active in his church and community and has been honored by The Marquis Publication Board for inclusion in "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who in American Law". Attorney Sims has practiced in the area of probate, trust and estate administration since 1984, and has been sought out to lecture on probate and real estate issues on numerous occasions.
